Terms of use

These terms are the agreement between you and Pecunia ("we", "us") for using pecuniajobs.com and its tools. By creating an account or using Pecunia, you agree to them. Our privacy policy explains how we handle your data.

Your account

You must be 16 or older to use Pecunia. Give accurate details, keep your password to yourself, and tell us if you think someone else has used your account. One person, one account: creating extra accounts to get more free uses, free trials or invite rewards isn't allowed.

What Pecunia does, and doesn't do

Pecunia uses artificial intelligence to analyse CVs and jobs and to write drafts of CVs, cover letters, interview answers and LinkedIn profiles. AI can be wrong. Pecunia is designed never to invent experience, but you are responsible for reading everything before you use it and for making sure every application you send is true. Pecunia helps you apply better; it can't promise interviews or job offers.

Your content

What you put into Pecunia, and the documents it writes for you, are yours. You give us permission to store and process them only to provide the service, including sending them to our AI provider. Only upload CVs and documents that are yours or that you have permission to use.

Fair use

Please don't use Pecunia to break the law, to harass anyone, or to create false or misleading applications. Don't try to get around plan limits, overload or attack the service, copy it, or collect data from it with bots. "Unlimited" on paid plans means normal personal use, up to 300 AI requests a month on Pro and 500 on Premium (100 during the free trial).

Jobs from other websites

The Job finder shows jobs from public job boards and employers' career pages. We don't employ, check or endorse these employers, and you apply on their websites. Be careful with any job that asks you to pay to apply or for your bank details.

Plans and payments

The free plan has monthly limits on the AI tools, which reset on the 1st of each month. Pro and Premium remove those limits and add more tools. Prices are shown in your local currency where we offer one, and otherwise in euros or US dollars. Payments are taken on the secure pages of Pesapal or Flutterwave, by mobile money, card or bank transfer depending on your country. Your bank or mobile money provider may charge its own fees.

One-off payments. A payment buys one month (31 days) or one year (366 days) of your plan. It never renews by itself. Paying again adds the time on top of what you already have.

Free trial and monthly subscription. Each account can try Pro free once, for 3 days. To start the trial you add a card; we check it with a small charge that is refunded straight away. When the trial ends, Pro continues and your card is charged the monthly price shown when you started, every month, until you cancel. We email you the day before the trial ends. You can cancel at any time in Go Pro → Manage plans or in Settings → Account: cancel before the trial ends and you pay nothing; cancel later and you keep Pro until the end of the month you paid for, and you won't be charged again.

Price changes. If we change our prices, time you've already paid for isn't affected. For a monthly subscription, we'll email you before a new price applies, and you can cancel before then.

Refunds

• Charged by mistake: if you were charged twice, charged after cancelling, or paid but your plan didn't start, we'll refund you in full or fix your plan, whichever you prefer.
• 7-day guarantee: if you're not happy with your first payment for Pro or Premium, ask within 7 days of paying and we'll refund it in full.
• Forgot to cancel: if a monthly renewal went through and you haven't used Pro since, ask within 7 days and we'll refund that month.
• The small card check when you start the free trial is refunded automatically, straight away.

To ask for a refund, email hello@pecuniajobs.com from the email address on your account. Refunds go back to the card or mobile money account you paid with, usually within 10 working days, depending on your bank or provider. Apart from these cases, payments for time you've already started using aren't refundable, but you can always cancel so nothing renews.

Expert CV reviews

Premium includes one CV review a month by a person on the Pecunia team, usually within 3 working days. Unused reviews don't carry over to the next month. A review is advice to help you improve your CV; it doesn't guarantee interviews or job offers.

Invite friends

A friend who joins with your invite link gets 7 days of Pro, and you get 30 days of Pro when they first use an AI tool, up to 12 times. Rewards earned with fake or duplicate accounts may be removed.

Ads

Visitors who aren't signed in may see ads on our public pages. Ads are never shown inside the tools or to members.

Changes to Pecunia

We keep improving Pecunia, so features may change. If we remove something important you've paid for, we'll refund the unused part of your payment.

Ending your account

You can delete your account at any time in Settings → Account; this also cancels any subscription. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms. If we close your account without you having broken these terms, we'll refund any paid time you haven't used.

Our responsibility

We work hard to keep Pecunia accurate and available, but we provide it "as is", without promises that it will always be error-free or available. As far as the law allows, we aren't responsible for indirect losses, such as a missed job opportunity, and our total responsibility to you is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the problem. Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have under consumer protection laws where you live.

Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Uganda. If you live in another country, you also keep the protections of its consumer laws, and you may bring a claim in your own country's courts.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms, we'll update the date at the top, and tell you by email or in the app before an important change applies to you. If you keep using Pecunia after that, the new terms apply.
